A Head of the Presidential Office of Mongolia D.Dorligjav granted a state flag to athletes who are to take part in the Vancouver Olympic Games 2010 and wished them to gain a success.

Warm wishings were also sounded by D.Zagdsuren, a president of Mongolia's National Olympic Committee, Ch.Naranbaatar, a head of the State Department of Physical Culture and Sports (SDPhCS); and D.Surenkhorloo, a deputy head of the SDPhCS.

Prime Minister S.Batbold gave a speech at opening of the "Made in Mongolia" exhibition of national products. The event is co-organized by the government and the United Council of Mongolia's Professional Unions.

The Premier underlined that the exhibition mounted for the 4th time seems to have expanded, and said it provides businessmen with opportunities to propagandize products, share experiences and improve a competitiveness. "Types of Mongolia-made products have increased. Their quality has improved as well," he underlined.

Khurlee: in love with twilight - obrázek

Khurelbaatar was born in 1959 in the year of the pig. Which is a good sign. He graduated from the College of Fine Arts in Ulaanbaatar and got a job with the state film studio. A year and a half later, he was recommended for a scholarship to Russia and thanks to his extraordinary gift, he spent the following six years at the famous Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Leningrad (Petersburg). During his fruitful life, Khurlee held a number of exhibitions in Asia and Europe but he remained firmly settled in UB. Khurlee is a member of the Mongolian Union of Artists and for some time, he was the Union´s deputy president. His pictures are mainly landscapes but he also paints figures of shamans and lamas, horses and wolves, the play of the light and mysterious atmosphere. He likes to play chess.
On Fri 24 April 2009, we visited Khurlee in his studio in the UB Art House. Lubomir Svoboda posed most of the questions, Lucie Kellnerová Kalvachová did the recording:
