Stálý zástupce Mongolska do UNIDO přijal pověření

On March 13, 2013, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Austria Mr. Gunaajav BATJARGAL handed over his credentials to the UNIDO Director General, Kandeh K. Yumkella (Sierra Leone) to represent as Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), concurrently Ambassador G.Batjargal also represents Mongolia to other International Organizations including OSCE and UNODC. Following the credential presenting ceremony, parties exchanged views on collaborating between Mongolia and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), particularly to increase the number and categorize of Mongolia's industries, develop environmentally friendly green industry and renewable energy.
Also, Director General, Kandeh Yumkella mentioned the meeting with the President of Mongolia during World Economic Forum Annual Meeting held in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland in January 2013, where parties exchanged views on collaborating on green industry.
Moreover Ambassador G.Batjargal emphasized that Director General's visit to Mongolia in May 2012 was significant for UNIDO's contribution in the development of Mongolia's industrial sector.

UNIDO and Mongolia
The mandate of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is to promote and accelerate sustainable industrial development in developing countries and economies in transition.
As of January 01, 2013, UNIDO currently has 172 Member States, whereas Mongolia was accepted on June 03, 1985 and became as a Member State on June 21, 1985.
